Get ready, Zimbabwe! The biggest Zimbabwean football showdown in NSW is here. On Sunday 7th June 2026, Sydney Zambezi Zimbabwe and ZIMAA NSW proudly present the Battle of the Cities 2026 — bringing together teams from Sydney, Orange, and Canberra for a day of fierce but friendly competition, community pride, and unforgettable memories.
Whether you’re turning out to compete in the Open or Masters divisions, or simply coming to cheer on your city, this is the event the whole family has been waiting for. Bring the kids, bring the grandparents, and bring your Zimbabwean pride — because this is more than just football. It’s a celebration of who we are.
Reconnect with old friends, make new ones, and soak in the warmth of community while enjoying the authentic tastes of home. From Sadza and Mazondo to Makuru, Matumbu, and refreshing beverages, the food alone is worth the trip. And with a live DJ pumping music all day, the atmosphere will be electric from kickoff to the final whistle.
