Sani Makhalima- Sanii started singing at the age of 9 but his professional career kicked off in 1999.
He became a household name in the New Millennium when he released his first ep Vulela/Usadaro.
Usadaro went on to become his most iconic release to date.
He then went on to record hits with Plaxedes, Roy and Royce, David Chifunyuse to name a few.
He then released the smashing album Ndofefeterwa which had on it ballads hits like Hakuna Mumwe, Ndofefeterwa , New life which were accompanied by industry changing videos. Remember the KB 300 Isuzu and the summer shorts??
Sanii has produced over 1000 songs in his musical careers for other artists and as a producer. he has managed to produce close to 200 number 1 hits for other musicians. These include, Tererai Mugwadi, Tanga Wekwas Sando, Jah Prayzah, Gorden Taurai Nzira, Juntal, Azania, Shinsoman, Ngonis Kambarammi.
He has performed alongside renowned artists like Oliver Mtukudzi, Ringo Madlingozi, Psquare, the Lost Boyz, Joe Thomas, Akon, Sean Kingston and Sean Paul just to name a few.
He is the only Zimbabweans musician/producer to ever produced and make the sitting president of an African country song on a musical track. Yes this man has worked with, spent time with on numerous occasions with the late former R.G Mugabe. He is also the brains behind having the president appear in music videos at a time when such was and is still taboo on Zimbabwean socio- political circles. No young producer or musician has ever done this till this day…

Nama Award nominations for production , video of years as well as male artist Awards of the year.
He is also one of the few artists to every have 3 songs in the Power FM yearly top 100 for 3 consecutive years…
He is the brains behind most of the Power FM adverts that u still hear today.
He was the Creative Producer and Sound Engineer for Zifm and he helped shape the way Zifm sounds…
He was part of the creative brain in all the jingles on Zifm..teir conception, creation and direction…
He was also voice coach for alot of radio and public personalities that I see or hear today on radio such as Misred aka Samantha Musa as well as Becky K aka Rebecca nee Muchenje..
Sanii has always been part of the success story of others..and very few places will u go in the Zimbabwe Entertainment without hearing his name and his hand in there somewhere… He is an extremely influential individual that sits behind the scenes but has amassed and contributed so much to Zimbabwe Art.
For a man who started singing professionally at a very young age, he surely has done well for himself in light of all the economic challenges. A multi talented musician who definitely has so much under his belt than can be seen by the eye…
